A complete energy storage system

Alelion Batteries AB was established in 2006 as a spin-off from ETC Batteries and Fuelcells, a research company working in the field of advanced energy solutions. In June 2010 Fouriertransform AB invested SEK 28 million in the company through a rights issue, making it the largest individual shareholder. Some of the existing shareholders, including Pegroco Invest, also participated in the rights issue.

Alelion develops, manufactures and markets complete energy storage systems based primarily on Li-ion batteries. The company offers complete drivelines using leading battery technology and control systems for all kinds of electric vehicles. Alelion’s systems are currently used in the Fiat 500 Electric, among other vehicles.

Brief product description

Today’s battery technology has made great strides towards better and better performance and safety. Alelion’s Li-ion batteries are environmentally safe and have extremely low self discharge. The physical shape and chemical composition of the battery can be adapted to the vehicle concerned. Advantages of the battery include a very long life cycle, high energy density, quick charging and high energy performance.

The battery unit also forms part of the platform that Alelion offers the energy market for storage and control in the production of renewable energy from the sun, wind, waves, waste, biomass, etc.
