Fouriertransform AB invests in Jobro Plåtkomponenter AB

Fouriertransform is investing around SEK 12 million in Jobro Plåtkomponenter AB of Ulricehamn, through a combination of a convertible debenture and new share issue. Jobro Plåtkomponenter AB manufactures and sells prototypes and short production runs of complex sheet metal parts for the engineering industries, focusing on the automotive industry.

Fouriertransform will participate in the new share issue along with the company’s existing owners Tobias Ludvigsson (CEO) and Christer Kallin, as well as a consortium led by its Chairman of the Board, Stig-Arne Blom. Following the issue Fouriertransform will be the largest individual shareholder with a shareholding of 45 per cent.

“Jobro has built up a unique expertise in tool making and production engineering over a long period, which has earned it a good reputation as a supplier of prototypes and short production runs within the automotive industry. The trend in the market towards increasingly complex products, higher quality requirements and more product variation means that skilled suppliers such as Jobro will be in greater demand,” says Per Nordberg, CEO of Fouriertransform.

Jobro is a full service supplier with in-depth knowledge of the science of materials, tool making and production engineering. Its short lead times and high product quality have enabled the company to develop into a leading supplier of prototypes and short runs of complex sheet metal parts. The company currently has 35 employees and turnover of around SEK 44 million in 2010. The company has enjoyed an annual growth rate of 27 per cent since 2003. The change of ownership will provide the company with a greater opportunity to develop its offering further while continuing to expand both geographically and its product range.

“The company was facing a generation change and we are delighted that Fouriertransform has stepped in to join us as a major shareholder partner. The change of ownership will allow Jobro to continue to develop, with its founders remaining involved in the business at both an operational and an ownership level,” says Stig-Arne Blom, Chairman of Jobro Plåtkomponenter.

“A stable group of owners with industrial expertise and a long-term perspective provides Jobro with the opportunity to invest more in geographical expansion while expanding its product range for the benefit of both our customers and employees,” says Tobias Ludvigsson, CEO and founder of Jobro Plåtkomponenter.
