Fouriertransform invests in Max Truck AB

Fouriertransform is investing SEK 7 million, through a rights issue, in Max Truck AB of Östersund – a company that has produced a new model of electric forklift offering unique maneuverability and a high degree of flexibility.

Fouriertransform will participate in the new share issue along with others, including the company’s founder and CEO Conny Lindström. The share issue is subject to approval by the company’s existing financiers, among other things. Following the issue Fouriertransform will be the second largest individual shareholder.

“We see that Max Truck has developed a unique product in a market of great interest. The forklift’s functionality allows customers to achieve highly efficient logistics handling,” says Per Nordberg, Fouriertransform’s CEO.

The electric forklift has been in development since 2001 and the prototype was unveiled in October 2009. It can move in all four directions from stationary and rotate around its own axis. This means the forklift needs considerably less space than conventional forklifts, makes significantly shorter journeys and allows the warehouse area to be utilized much better.

Max Truck AB was established in 2005 and currently employs five people. The company’s operations are based in Bjurholm municipality in the county of Västerbotten. The capital injected will be used to put the forklift into series production.

“Various types of tools and equipment can be added to the forklift, which means it can be used for a wide range of operations – making it a completely different kind of tool to a conventional forklift. Consequently, it is mainly aimed at small and medium-sized engineering companies, warehouse-style retail outlets and cold storage facilities that need a high degree of flexibility and functionality,” explains Conny Lindström, CEO of Max Truck AB.
